Sandra Poncet is Professor of Economics at the Paris School of Economics, where she also holds the Globalization Chair sponsored by CMA-CGM. Her research focuses on international trade, economic geography, the Chinese economy, and economic growth. She has published widely in top economic journals, including work on trade policy, export performance, firm-level adjustment, and regional economic development.

Professor Poncet received her Ph.D. in Economics from University of Clermont-Ferrand in 2003. Before her current positions, she has held appointments as Visiting Associate Professor at Lingnan University (Hong Kong), research positions at the French Centre for Research on Contemporary China, and visiting roles at institutions such as the University of Michigan and the College of Europe in Bruges. She has also served as Scientific Adviser at CEPII, the leading French think tank in international economics, and held senior research fellow roles at FERDI.

Professor Poncet also serves as Co-Editor of China Economic Review.
