3rd International Workshop on the Chinese Development Model

IQS School of Management
Universitat Ramon Llull
May 30-31, 2024
Barcelona, Spain

Innovative Strategies for Sustainable Development.

As the world faces unprecedented challenges such as climate change, technological disruption, and shifting global trade dynamics, it's crucial to critically assess sustainable economic development pathways. While China's development model, marked by adaptive innovation, state-led initiatives, and gradual reform, has fostered its economic transformation, this workshop will critically explore these strategies in light of China's rapid growth, and environmental and social challenges. We will probe into the future steps in China's economic evolution, questioning how it will balance innovation with sustainable development, and the role of technological advancements and digital transformation. Additionally, the workshop will scrutinize China's methods in addressing global economic uncertainties, environmental concerns, and demographic shifts, providing a balanced view of both its achievements and ongoing challenges.

This workshop aims to provide a platform for rigorous academic debate, policy analysis, and collaborative learning, contributing to the global discourse on sustainable development and economic transformation. The Conference will include a distinguished keynote speaker, roundtable forums, and parallel sessions.
